Resolution: 4 Architecture (RES4), founded in 1990 by architects Joseph Tanney and Robert Luntz and based in New York City, is one of the most prolific prefab architecture firms in the United States. The firm developed The Modern Modular, a systematic design methodology that leverages existing prefabrication methods — including modular, panelized, and hybrid construction — to produce fully custom modern homes tailored to each client and site. Having designed over 120 prefab homes from Maine to Hawaii, RES4 has earned numerous honors including an American Architecture Award, a National AIA Housing Award for Concepts in Innovative Housing, and an Honor Award for Housing Design Research. Notable projects include the Bronx Box, North Fork Bay House, and a wide variety of contemporary residential designs across the country.
