BONE Structure is a Laval, Quebec-based prefab home company founded in 2005 by Marc A. Bovet, specializing in net-zero energy ready homes built on a proprietary light-gauge recycled steel frame system. Inspired by the interlocking logic of LEGO and Meccano, BONE Structure's system provides the structural columns, joists, subfloor, roof panels, and insulation, which are manufactured in-house and then assembled by builders within its accredited network. The 100% recyclable steel frame enables long open spans, tall ceilings, and minimal load-bearing walls, while advanced insulation and integrated energy production systems allow homes to achieve net-zero performance. A typical 3,000-square-foot BONE Structure home can be completed in 12 to 14 weeks from schematic design to construction. The company has built projects across Canada and is recognized for its innovative approach to sustainable, design-forward prefab construction.
